Spreadsheet Server v23.2 insightsoftware Platform Enhancements
Title | Description |
---|---|
Migration |
Legacy users can seamlessly migrate to insightsoftware Platform and sync the list of users without having to manually perform the setup. When you open Application Configurator after installing Spreadsheet Server for Platform, the insightsoftware Platform Migration window allows you to enter the email address for the users to complete the migration. You can then manage these users in Application Configurator. |
GXL Formula |
insightsoftware Platform customers using the Oracle EBS, Oracle ERP Cloud, and NetSuite 2 ERPs can opt for enhancing GXL performance and benefit from an improved speed of formula calculation. The GXL: Performance enhancements checkbox in Spreadsheet Server Settings enables this feature. Based on the parameters of the GXL formula, the application fetches and stores the superset data locally, which all subsequent GXL formulas with the same parameters use to run queries, filtering out superset data based on segment values. Once the calculation finishes for all the formulas, it removes the local superset data. This feature is available for the Early Adopter Program (EAP). Please contact your account manager to leverage this feature. |
Platform Installer |
The Select User field in the Platform installer allows you to select the user’s profile to install the files and registry keys, enabling you to get past any admin account-related installation permissions. |
Platform Installer |
Installing Spreadsheet Server as an administrator copies the files in the current user appData/local folder and not the administrator appData/local folder. |
Query Designer |
The application now provides more informative error messages when running a query or performing a drill down using a Cloud Connector connection. |

Spreadsheet Server v23.2 Feature Enhancements
Title | Description |
---|---|
Profile Encryption and Decryption |
Profile encryption allows you to encrypt all the files included in your CustomGL and AdHocQueries folders to protect the data and avoid changes any end user can make by directly editing the XML files. Decrypting all your profiles and adhocs then allows you to make the required SQL changes yourself. After you click Load Default GL Definition and enter your password in the Spreadsheet Server Settings panel, the Encrypt all profile files checkbox displays. Selecting the checkbox encrypts profile files and deselecting the checkbox decrypts the files. |
Distribution Manager |
v23.2 provides an enhanced user interface for Distribution Manager to improve the user experience across the application. |
Distribution Manager |
You can specify the required email address in the Reply To field when distributing reports so that the distribution list can directly reply to the correct contact. |
Query Designer |
Query Designer provides an option to disable the pre-loading of queries every time you open the application. Deselecting the Pre-Load Queries checkbox in Settings disables it and populates all the queries in the Select Query section. Selecting the checkbox enables the scanning and pre-loading of all the queries in your folders. Pre-loading queries is the default setting, but it does not impact existing user preferences. |
Installation |
When installing or upgrading Spreadsheet Server, the installer now includes the following ERPs for selection: Oracle EBS, Oracle ERP Cloud, Syspro and NetSuite. The selected ERP then displays across the application in the referenced fields like general ledger selection. |
Key Fields |
You can add up to 10 key fields for Designer GL and AdHocs in Spreadsheet Server Settings. The Formula Builder andSpreadsheet Server Control Panel dynamically update the parameters for a GXL Drill Down formula based on the number of key fields. |
Formula Builder |
v23.2 provides an enhanced Formula Builder panel that avoids areas without print contributing to an easy-to-use UI. |
Application Configurator |
Application Configurator hides the Viewpoint Profile Wizard function. |
