Query Designer |
When you create a one-word Alias, without space or any numbers, the field name no longer displays in upper case. |
Formula Builder |
GXL formulas now run successfully as the JD Edwards connection types SQL Server, Oracle, and iSeries correctly use LTRIM(RTRIM()). |
UI Fixes |
This release modifies the errors in the display of text and values in the Drill Down Result Viewer and Query Designer. |

Spreadsheet Server v23.1.1 Resolved Issues
Spreadsheet Server v23.1.1 was released on March 28, 2023.
Title | Description |
---|---|
Formula Builder |
Running a GEXD formula no longer displays the ‘Connection not found’ error in the View Log. The query runs successfully in Excel as the connection exists in the Application Configurator and the query works in the Query Designer. |
Formula Builder |
To seamlessly work with the Formula Builder in Excel, you can now Shift-click to display the context menu and then select Move to move the window on your screen. The context menu does not display by default as enabling it can disable resizing. This feature remains similar to moving error logs, settings, and other windows on your screen. |
Formula Builder |
You can successfully run a GEXQ formula in Excel and receive the correct result. It works without errors, just like running the summary for a query in the Query Designer. |
Formula Builder |
When you select the JD Edwards Ledger in the Formula Builder, you can now successfully create a GXL. The segments display correctly. |
Locate Segment |
You can now view the Segment Values for the JD Edwards Ledger in Locate Segment even as you set Oracle JDE configuration as the default connection in the Application Configurator. |
BPCS - Load Local Database |
As you sign in and load a BPCS Local Database in Spreadsheet Server Settings, reporting from the Local BPCS Database does not result in an error with the first level drill down. |
Installer |
The ‘Error Initialize SSApp’ error no longer displays when installing and configuring the v23.1 Application Configurator. This error was specific to the Application Configurator install only and not the installation alongside Spreadsheet Server. |
Installer |
Fresh installs no longer error out when the install does not successfully create SSSettings.xml. |
Application Configurator |
You can now successfully create new training and production environments in the Application Configurator. This fix is specific to non-Platform customers. |
Profile Scheduler |
When upgrading to v23.1, the scheduled tasks created in an older version remain unaffected. You will not receive an error message related to the update of scheduled tasks during the installation process, the Profile Scheduler runs these tasks successfully post the upgrade. |
Query Designer |
When you run a query in the Query Designer, the parameter that passes into the auto-generated SQL code no longer removes single quotes around ‘&PARMXX’. |
Clear Cache and Recalculate |
As you upgrade from v20.2 to the later versions, workbooks that were previously running now return accurate data when you clear cache and recalculate. There is no discrepancy in the data post the upgrade. |
Spreadsheet Server Excel Add-in |
When you close an Excel workbook with data retrieved from Spreadsheet Server, a blank workbook does not reopen. The application closes as usual. |
Performance Enhancement |
This version of Spreadsheet Server provides an efficient method of executing the GXLs to improve the performance for Custom GLs by reducing the initial calculation time when opening a workbook. |
Licensing |
You can now dynamically add new license types to the product. This is specific to Platform customers. |
