JD Edwards Fixed Asset Balances

insightsoftware delivers Designer GL definitions, JDE_iSeries_FXA, JDE_Oracle_FXA, and JDE_SQL_FXA for retrieving JD Edwards fixed asset account balances from the F1202 file. Additionally, associated ad hoc queries are delivered for drilling down from JDE_FXA Designer GL GXL account balances to asset details.

The following is a high level summary of the steps required for setting up and using a JDE_FXA Designer GL.

Setup and Process a JDE_FXA Designer GL

  1. In Application Configurator, click Application Settings > JD Edwards, and ensure the appropriate JD Edwards host connection is created. Contact your administrator for more information.
  2. Note: The host connection must be created for both the standard JD Edwards ledger and JDE_FXA Designer GL.

  3. From Spreadsheet Server Settings, click the General tab, and verify the General Ledger Type is set to JD Edwards.
  4. Click the File Locations tab, and verify the Ad Hoc Queries and Designer GL Definition file locations.
  5. From the Ledger Specific tab, click Designer GL, ensure the proper host connection is assigned to the JDE_FXA Designer GL definition being used, and set the appropriate default Designer GL definition.
  6. In the Control Panel and Build a Template panels, criteria defaults to JD Edwards parameters; however, to process the JDE_FXA Designer GL, select the appropriate Designer GL definition, and criteria in the panel changes accordingly. Continue processing as normal.
