Convert BizNet Reports in Spreadsheet Server

BizNet or XL Connect customers can easily convert BizSuperFunc formulas to .edq files and subsequently use the GEXQ formula in Spreadsheet Server. The GEXQ formula displays a single value from the summary portion of a query based on the selected field and aggregate function and allows you to drill down into the summary details.

This function is available to BizNet customers on version 7 or higher using the SQL Server database, currently available for the following ERPs: Epicor, SYSPRO, SAB B1, and Sage 500.

BizNet-Spreadsheet Server users can then follow the outlined steps to use the GEXQ formula:

  1. Run the v24.1 Spreadsheet Server installer.
  2. Select the BizNet/XL Connect checkbox to add BizNet files for the selected ERP. This places the queries in the query folder once you complete the setup.
  3. Open the Excel workbook containing the BizSuperFunc formulas.
  4. From the Spreadsheet Server ribbon, select Tools.
  5. Select Convert BizInsight/XLC Formulas from the drop-down menu.
  6. Select the connection to update the queries.
  7. Select the formulas to convert and click Continue.
  8. Review the details and result in the subsequent pop-up window. Users can revert the changes if required.
  9. Click OK.
  10. From the Spreadsheet Server ribbon, select the cell containing the GEXQ formula and then select Formula Builder to review or update the parameters of the formula.
  11. To view detailed results, select the cell containing the formula and then select Drill Down from the Spreadsheet Server ribbon or select Spreadsheet Server > Drill Down from the context menu. The Drill Down panel displays the information.
