Locate Segment for Platform Data Sharing

The Locate Segment option displays a list of account segment values and segment lists that work as a hierarchy of individual segments that you can insert in the Excel worksheet. This feature is available to Platform Data Sharing customers creating a GXL formula using business views. Spreadsheet Server retrieves the HSegment values from Angles business views that contain them.

Follow these steps to use the HSegments or hierarchies:

1. Run the GXL formula. See Create a GXL Formula using Business Views for more information.
2. Select the required cell to contain the segment value(s).
3. From the Spreadsheet Server ribbon, select Locate Segment or right-click the cell and select Spreadsheet Server > Locate Segment.
4. In the Locate Segment panel, select the desired profile from the Ledger drop-down menu. These are available under Business Views in the list.
5. Under the Hierarchy tab, select the account segments and values to include.
6. Click Insert to Excel.
